...there was a little girl who felt so very small and alone. All the world around her loomed tall and dark; a foreboding place that never felt the touch of the sun. As the little girl gazed out at this scenery with much trepidation, she felt a tightness in her chest. She was afraid... overwhelmed.. totally unsure which of the many possible streets would lead her safely home once more.. so she chose a path; one that looked somewhat less sinister than the others, and began to journey onwards.. one small foot in front of the other. With each step, her heart hurt a little bit more, and she had the unsettling feeling that she was walking the Wrong Way. Rushing back to the center, the little girl ventured out once more, in yet another semi-non-frightening direction; and once more, she felt that insistent tugging at her being, that nagging notion that she was GOING THE WRONG WAY. Sighing heavily, she found her way back to her origin, but looking around, she suddenly felt that this was not the place she started from at all, and that, instead, she had somehow materialized someplace entirely different. The little girl frowned. She had been so careful to retrace her exact steps; where had she gone wrong? Sitting down on the curb, her angelic face in her tiny hands, the little girl began to cry. She had never felt so lost and alone...
