Books worth reading

Mar 27, 2005 08:54

I just finished Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson. Its a juvenile book, but its the first book that ever made me cry. I didn't cry this time through, but as a more seasoned reader I felt true empathy for Jess Aarons. Feeling the sadness to your core is harder to swallow than crying superficially about a death.

There are so many books I want to read, if any of you have any suggestions, please let me know.

I have some series books that I plan on reading through soon.
Besides Bridge to Terabithia, Stephen King's Dark Tower Series was the last that I read.

I want to read Geek Love by Catherine Dunne, and I want to read some more Palaniuk (Survivor, Diary).

I want to read the Chronicles of Narnia, Don Quixote, Lemony Snickett's Series of Unfortunate Events, Piers Anthony's Incarnations of Immortality, the Myst Reader by Rand and Robyn Miller, and J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter Series.

The only thing about Harry Potter is I refuse to start reading them until a definite publishing date for the last book has been established. I am afraid of starting a series like that just to find out that such an epic would never reach completion. That's why I didn't start reading the Dark Tower until the final 3 books were slated for distribution.

Anywho, catch you fellow journalinians on the flip side.

As always,
-out
