I'd say a platform, but you really need to do in a creative way, a la the way Mario 3 & Mario 64 changed the face of platform gaming. Please, no more Rayman.

I actually have 3 platform ideas. I can't talk about them too much on here. I might email some details to you later to see which one you like out of the three. Two are a little more cartoon and one is a little more realistic (i.e. Mario vs. Soul Reaver).

I like the idea of a platform game as well. There's just something fun about them that is timeless.
