This is just the week to get stuff in the mail!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, so I'm in a pretty good mood. Three things I'm super happy about, but a few things I'm not happy about either.
+ I got my first acceptance letter in the mail yesterday! a giant envelope from PennState! I got in!
- However, I also got a deferral from Boston College(not a flat-out rejection, but since it was early action, they didn't accept me but are putting me back into the pool for regular decision to look over). So that was kinda a reality check for me. It doesn't really matter because I wasn't planning on going there. I was just surprised I didn't get in. It's #37 in rank of all colleges and NYU is #33. I reallyyyyy hope I still get into NYU. Cross your fingers for me!!!
+ Another plus is a certain someone....yeahhh *blush* His name is Diego. He's awesome. and he's my hottie haha. and I'm his ladyyyyy. All together now *AWWWW*
- Another minus is the Christmas Pageant. It's this friday and I really need to practice but I don't want to ever lol. I'm playing all the songs on piano and I'm going to die! I hope I don't fuck up the whole thing
+ Ok now this news is awesome, and hopefully true lol. I entered a poetry contest online about a month ago to poetry.com. what's funny is that I just cut and paste the "as the butterfly spreads its wings" from a few livejournal entries ago (which i wrote in 5 minutes and isn't one of my best poems), and I entered it in the contest and got a letter in the mail today that I went onto be a semifinal out of thousands of entries. and I could go on to win 1 of like 100 prizes and cash or the $1000 grand prize. I highly doubt I'll win but that's crazy they thought it was good. The even cooler news is that my poem is automatically being published in the book they're making. I get 2 full pages to myself- one for the poem and one about the author (but i have to pay for the second one-i'll call to see how much cuz it'd be awesome to have a bio page in a book). But seriously, my poem is automatically being published.
- A big minus is that I've been slacking off so much lately. Like this entire week i haven't come home to do homework at all. Sometimes i do it in the morning or not at all lol. So senioritis is in full bloom for me. I didn't study for an AP calc quiz on monday and got 100!!!!!! but when i did study for 3 hours last time i got a 52. strange lol. my friends say i just shouldnt study. But I just have been slacking off a lot lately, and I just hope I don't completely stop caring cuz that wouldn't be good for my grades.
Anyways, that's the scoop in my life.....I should go do homework and practice piano now but I would much rather talk to Diego. we'll see if anything gets done. and if you'd like to see me screw up the entire choir and dancers, then come to my school's chapel this friday at 7 for the Christmas Pageant lol.
