Solo and Ensamble Saturday
So yeah...I learned today that getting up at 4:45 in the morning is not good for my mental health. It's almost better for me to just stay up the entire night. Anyways, I had to be at the school at six to ride the bus to contest. With the misconception that the bus would actually leave on time (hah), I arrived at the high school somewhere around 5:50- ish.
There were eight people on our bus this morning- Paulina, me, Jainie, Laurasita, Christine, Lauren, Bethany, and Cher. On the way to the school, we played another game of "conquistadoras" while teaching Jainie and Laurasita the game (so that they can play next year, of course!). It was a good game, Jainie seems to like it too. After a few jokes about Walter's eyebrows we finally got to the school.
Our ensamble went terrible. I really don't even want to think about it. What a way to waste my last year at solo and ensamble, right? This'll be the first year in the seven years I've been in band not to get a medal. (and if we do get a medal, we don't deserve it)
Long story short: Sarah forgot her music. Sarah decided she could play off of a copy of the score. Sara dropped out during the performance. For a substantial period of time. Tell me how a girl responsible for the ENSAMBLE SCORE forget her music? How does one pick up the SCORE, but not her own part?! This doesn't make sense in my head...*shrugs*
Whatev, it's over now. Nothing I can do about it. Brief rant over.
AAAANYWHO.
Then Laura and I left for Kemah where we went and had seafood for lunch. Good stuff. I was happy. Kayla <3's seafood. Lunch was lovely and such. It rained, we got wet, and very cold, but it was fun. Then we went to go get ice cream. That also made me happy. :-)
Anyways, now I'm sitting at the computer, bored out of my mind and avoiding my paper like the plague. I wish I could just get it over with though, seriously. It's like some black cloud in the back of my mind. *kills black cloud*
Oh, and go see Pink Panther. The movie is HILLARIOUS.
6 days until my birthday. Sweet.
Oh, by the way. I'm an idiot, just thought I'd reaffirm that for those of you who hadnt' figured that out. I figured that out today. I am a really big idiot. Who? Just settle for the knowlege that I am an idiot.
