If its any comfort, those trucks and planes the postal service is using will most likely be running less then full anyway, so you are actually helping to make better use of those burnt fuel fumes.

Besides, you will use about the same amount of fuel to transport, compress, and bury those things in a landfill. Either way the fuel is going to be spent. Not much comfort I know, but at least this way someone with get some use out of the stuff.

Um, yeah -- what my sweetie just said there. I hadn't managed to think of it that way, and, yeah, that helps quite a bit.

(And I'm not quite sure why someone out there wants my Infocom CD-ROM that badly, but they're welcome to it...)
