One-Sided Blades

Who here prefers one-sided blades, for those who use knives in their rituals? The two-sided blade is quite popular I've noticed and why is that? I've heard something about not interrupting the flow of energy, or something like that, but I don't understand it, though I used to. But, in any case, I find that the one-sided blade works.

I found that I can't stand two-sided blades when I was shopping for a ritual knife. That's part of why I love samurai swords and knives. I'm on a connoisseur of the curve too which has made my searching for ritual knife, or just any blades that I like for my collection, difficult. Because it has to be just so. The only reason I have one knife though with a curve I quite like but a handle I've been avoiding (you can see the screws that hold it together; two on each side like your typical kitchen knife) is because it was given to me. My mum, who gave it to me, said it was such a shame that I bought the other one (my main one for ritual now) when I could have had this one because it was just sitting in our drawer not in use (gift from her sister). But it was still worth it. Part of the set with a different curve I also accepted because I liked it, too.

Besides that my taste in blades means I'm spending on the cheap. I found this one by searching the housewares section at the grocery store, which I periodically do, for a mere 13 dollars + tax. All the two-sided blades I find are 25-100s of dollars excluding the ones at Azure Green.

The curve of the one-sided blade... Mmmm.

Edit: Here Be an example of the kind of knives I have and like. And the page introduced me, because of someone who commented about Gerber knives, to something I hadn't thought of. Kitchen knives from other cultures! Especially the far east.
