I'll admit it, I was psyched to see the Gin Blossoms last night. I had wanted to see them in my younger days, heard they were still good, and was all amped up to see them for free at Mohegan Sun. I wouldn't call their actual show entertaining; no more entertaining than listening to their CD really. Still, and no offense to the usual suspects, it was nice to go to a show and not feel like I was responsible in any way for anything to do with it. It was nice to be anonymous and have a night out for myself. Well, that is until I found myself in excruciating pain just before they hit the singles. By "Hey Jealousy", thankfully the closing song, I was in so much pain that I was hobbling for the door. A night spent at the ER later, I'm home, still in pain, and completely unable to sleep thanks to a kidney stone. So after a night of waiting, hydration, and morphine, I've realized one thing: I'm simply not allowed to go to a show and not work. FML.
