Stranger Than Fiction, Seriously

Went to see that new Will Ferrell movie, Stranger Than Fiction with Aellig last night. The movie was great; very well done. No completely stellar acting performances but the story is more than enough to keep you watching. As an English major, it made me happy inside. Once you see it, you'll know why. You'll also know that the meaning of life is cookies. Of course, Aellig and I walk in a couple of minutes late and the theater is packed except for a pair of seats in the center and a bunch right at the screen. We get to the center seats only to find that only one of them is a seat. The other one is just a seat back. We decided that, rather than obstruct another two dozen people and watch the movie a foot away from the screen, we'd sit there...right on the (thankfully non-sticky) movie theater floor. That's right, we sat for two hours on the floor watching this movie. *sigh* Only Aellig and I would do that. EVER. Afterwards, because the meaning of life is, after all, cookies, we decided that we needed to find some decent cookies. After hobbling into Stop & Shop and not finding a suitable cookie in the place (who knew?), we dragged ourselves to the Starbucks to get said cookie. Yes, we finally got the cookie. No, there's no point to my telling you about the cookie adventure. It was just part of a very strange night that ended in Aellig and I deciding that we need to build a yurt sometime soon.
