Cancer!

So my head is still pounding from last night and I havn't bathed in days.

mmm, maybe thats a bad place to start..

Ok, Katrina is writing a song for a senior project on piano, we've been working on adding new parts and instruments to it, forming a makeshift band out of her, Matt, Nathan and I; known as The Booksellers. She also volunteered us to perform at a benefit show for the American Cancer Society, so we'd been practicing the song anytime all of us could get together. We've probably only practiced it a handful of times, last night we added Katrina's friend Tyler to the band, playing a harmonica and an accordian.

The Benefit show was today at The Crossing church in costa mesa, so for the past three days I've been down there, attatched to Matt like a leech, we practiced two days in a row, with heavy drinking before, during and after..actually i should note that last night was crazy, one of those that really makes you wonder how you got home alive. So each of us a little shaky and haggard, hungry and hungover, rocked the fuckin house. I didnt have my monitors in so i couldn't hear myself at all, but the reaction and the feedback afterwards indicates we were on top of it and sounded good.

Oh so of course Taylor and Linda's band was there, the Pouncing Panthers, and they definatly showed us up, but thats ok cause our song was original and we all got to ogle Linda for an extended period of time. Nathan still has the guitar he borrowed from Taylor, so that means they have to come and jam with us to get it back. We keep trying to play with them but they can never come out when the studio is available. The teases always say they will and never get back to us or never show up, but a couple rounds and a solid jam usually distract us enough to redeem the eve.

So yea, dunno if we're still gonna call ourselves The Booksellers, but i fuckin love this band; good dirty fun
