Since my last post, here is life.

Steve's children from Michigan have come and gone. Visit completely successful. His daughter is basically a fully formed adult in my book. 16 often looks like that, to me, though, because I myself moved out when I was 16.

I've had a massive fight with my own parents. The kind of fight I thought I was far too old to partake in. It was / is complicated and not worth drama-ing over. I shored up my opinion that there needs to be a certain amount of distance between an adult child and their parents for the relationship to be good. I do not have the appropriate distance.

We've missed out on an insane housing deal through Steve's work. (His company has a lot of company housing offers.) This one was snapped up by another couple in the company. It's too bad, because I could have had above said distance if I moved off of my parent's property. Oh well.

I'm starting to regulate my food intake again after almost a year of not caring. It's hard to keep motivated when you work so hard for so little result. However, I understand that whining about how hard it is doesn't help. Feeling sorry for myself doesn't help. Taking the easy way out doesn't help. I have to be responsible for myself and what I eat. We'll see how it goes. As part of this, my husband has been asked to take martial arts with some of our friends. He told me he was thinking about going, and if he does, I think I will, too. I know it sounds ridiculous for a 300lb fat chick to spar, but the more I think about it, the better it sounds? I haven't been hit by a living person since I was like, 8 or less, and even then it was other children. I've never been in a fight. I'd be curious to see how I handle myself in such a way.

I love my job. My 90 day review was stellar. I got a 6,000 annual raise at it. I now officially make more than I ever have. Porn gets boring when you work on it for a living. That's really the only drawback.

I'm painting less. I think getting a professional web development career saps my creativity, or perhaps I'm validated by getting a professional art job, so now I don't have to get validated as much by my peers. After painting an entire saim hann army for myself in May, I haven't really painted much. This is fine with me. Painting only when I want to will be nice. I officially no longer paint for supplemental money. I just don't need to anymore. In contrast, I've been really into my D&D campaigns. I run one, and I play in one. I'm planning to run a second one right now, so it takes some of my free time.

I'm really, really, really in love. My husband's totally what I want and need in a spouse. We're comming up on our 2nd wedding anniversary and I still haven't left the honeymoon. Every year we go to Vegas to celebrate getting married there, as an anniversary trip. I'm getting excited already.

For those that know of whom I speak, Cherylyn is getting married in October. I've been invited, and intend to be there. If I go, would I see any of you on my friend's list in attendance?

Hugs,
Ananda
