Scene 2, an empty classroom
The man led Ken into a small side room, no more than ten feet across, sparesely furnished with a few couches and a mirror on one wall. After Ken entered the room, the man slipped behind him and locked the door, slipping the key into his pocket. Ken's eyes narrowed as he watched this strange precuation, not quite understanding why this man would need to lock a door on an entrance exam. Then the man dropped his masking, pointed ears and slitted eyes making him obviously inhuman. The full force of the wave of manifested sidhe rolled through the room, making the air hum and a heavy weight settle over the entire space. The man, now obviously supernatural, took stock of Ken's reaction. Ken raised an eyebrow and flipped him the bird. "What do you think you're trying to pull, what if I'd been an ordinary student you idiot!?!" Ken snarled at the impudence of this sidhe, trying to awe him with mere glory. The sidhe shrugged and ended his manifestation, revealing his tweed suit had patched elbows and that there was obviously some kind of armor woven into the fabric. "I suppose I'd have just erased your memory, given you a college level exam, and when you failed it, send you away. You... don't have much experience outside the Cabals do you, mr...?" "People say I'm named Kenpachi Ginia, but I wouldn't know, I never saw a birth certificate" Ken shrugged. "Most people just call me Ken, but I don't see why it matters. You can tell I'm Aetenarus I suppose so it dosen't matter what you call me, I've had enough names over the years." The Sidhe shook his head and looked over at the mirror, adjusting his hair slightly so it covered his ears. "True enough, I suppose, but that's beside the point. You know about the school and you came prepared to pay, but we DO have to give you an entrance exam." Ken sighed and looked up at the ceiling. "Fine, lets get this over with. I'm at a school because I'm out of practice and my education is out of date. If you give me that college level exam I'm just going to fail and then I can LEAVE." The sidhe chuckled to himself and looked directly at Ken. "Oh, I'm afraid this isn't going to be a written exam. You don't leave this room until you retrieve the key from my pocket. Have to make sure you have at least the basic abilities required to survive some of the harsher lessons here, after all. You can call me Devyd if you need to. Pronounced Doo-vd, I know, it's a weird name but my mom was Welsh and dad thought it was unique." Devyd held his hand up in the air and a shimmering chain whip of bright green arcane energy appeared in his outstreched palm. The scent of roses and a faint metallic tang of metal filled the air in the room. "The rosewhip should be more than sufficient to handle things for today. Now take the key from my pocket by whatever means you have availible and open the door and you pass. Failure, while an option, is likely to be an exceedingly painful decision."
