[And as it turns out, Nall LIKES car rides. He's been on a ship before, but it was way slower than this car thing! He wonders how it would match up compared to the Dragonship Destiny! Unable to stop himself, he even goes so far as to lean his head out the window to feel the wind on his face!]

[To which chaos, taking a half-second to flick his eyes towards his passenger, will let out a small laugh]

Is this your first time in a car, Nall?

[Nall returns his head to the car's interior.] Yup!

I've been on a ship before, but this is way different! Much faster! And there was this ship back home that could travel on land and sea... but I only ever saw it in action. It's hard to say if this thing would be faster, but if I had to guess, I would say so!

It's certainly very possible. Cars were set up not to go beyond a certain speed, with a few exceptions, because they are land-based, where humanity walks, and dangerous to them as well. On the flip side, flight is reserved mostly for birds, and so humans felt it alright to push the speed when taking to the air.

Yes. They even figured out how to go into space, and create artificial life.

Life?! How can life be artificia-...ya know what, nevermind, I probably wouldn't even understand the answer to that one.

[Nall leaps into the backseat, distinct rummaging sounds can be heard.] Where's that tuna sandwich?

Humans are very interesting beings. They didn't expect their creations to gain consciousness though, at least I don't think they did.

[And he hops back up into the front seat, carrying the tuna sandwich with him. He talks while trying to unwrap it with his paws.]

Seems like your world was way more advanced than Lunar, that's for sure. But didn't it make things really complicated? I mean, this car is nice an' all, and it makes the trip faster... but I've gone on long journeys on foot and I liked that too. At least on foot you can really take in the scenery... and there's little chance of passing by something small and innocuous that might be helpful.

[That was a big word for Nall. He feels smart... yet attempts at opening the baggie are fail. He looks at his paw and our come the claws! Sure it'll be a lil messier, but Wilhelm won't mind a LITTLE mess, right?]

[chaos nods a little, taking the occasional glance Nall's direction as he fights the bag. If the claws are a failure, he'll offer to unwrap it for him.]

Man's desire for knowledge, it is a double-edged sword. Although they begin to learn much, there are many things they forget.

A desire for power, a desire for ease, a desire to understand everything, yet in that desire, they forget to try to understand themselves and their surroundings.

As you said, it takes more time on foot, but at the same time, there is much you can learn from it. There are adventures you can have, and places you might otherwise have missed that you will see.
