I realize now why I have such a problem making new friends any more. Small talk... I fucking hate it, it's so fake. I mean when I'm just talking to one of my friends I actually want to know how they are doing. But with random people at a party you know... I just don't give a shit. I don't care for the fake how are you bullshit that you have to go

just pick a random topic off the wall, like why potatoes have eyes, or even what's the date, or something stupid and random, or do a "haven't i seen you somewhere?" or make a universal cliche comment, like "this weather is _______!" or you could always do the "so how do you know (host's name here)?" they sound stupid, but it works!
