I was at Glendale Galleria/Americana and Brand earlier today. Two things:
- The guy at working at Kyo Chon blatantly flirted with me. I was ordering and I wanted to substitute the potato wedges side order with rice and he goes, "Eeeh, if I say 'yes', would you smile? You have such a lovely smile." I decided to play along. It was rather flattering and amusing. He seemed nice. (PS: Kyo Chon has AMAAAAAZING chicken.)
- An artist doing his thing @ B&N earlier gave me this bookmark.
I was passing time at Barnes & Noble (Buy 2, Get 1 Free Classics!) and there was this guy drawing on strips of paper. It was pretty interesting because he would color the paper first then draw the outlines later. Some guys stopped and admired his work and the artist gave him one of his pieces. I must admit, I kind of wanted one too. :) Then as we were leaving, my mom and I were going on and on about literary classics (I picked up The Count of Monte Cristo, Howards End, and... Jane Eyre) for the whole time we were seated there, the artist came up to our table and handed me a piece of his artwork as well. He said, "Because you love the classics so much, here's a bookmark for you. You remind me growing up in Seattle, my parent's house had these shelves of classic literature. But I never read them." I could not thank him enough. It was so random and just so nice of him. He told the guy earlier that he had a gallery in Koreatown. I should've asked him if he had a website or something but we were hurrying. I appreciate this a LOT.
Also, I have 2 new jackets and a pair of lace-up boots. Gotta spend my money somewhere, right? :)
And oh...
I caved. I just have to have it.
