THIS. SHOW. Now. Please.
I've been watching the Comic-Con coverage of Spartacus all day and oh man, I don't think I can wait for 2012. I don't care... this show is SO FUCKING GOOD in my book. I started watching the prequel, Gods of the Arena, and got majorly hooked. I loved that and the first season, Blood & Sand, so fucking much.
Now this... Vengeance. So much goodness about it already! Gannicus is back. Lucretia lives. Gladiators going against the Republic. Nick Tarabay (Ashur) acting amazingess. GANNICUS IS BACK. Yes, basically that is all I care about the most. XD I mean...
Yes, please. Anything. Dustin Clare, everybody.
Of course, I know the whole history/mythology behind this. The Third Servile War and all that. I know that they all die in the end. But I'm pretty sure that Gannicus was never freed in canon history. So I'm very interested on what they'll do about his character and that time frame during Blood & Sand. But really, I'm just happy I get to see Gannicus again. Spartacus and Crixus were hot but damn, Gannicus does something else for me. ;-)
Also, there's a new Spartacus. Actor, I mean. The original, Andy Whitfield, has health issues and is unable to reprise his role in the 2nd season. We welcome Liam McIntyre as the new Spartacus. And wow, I love him already. In these interviews I'm watching, he's so enthusiastic and so humble... he's adorable. He's so... idk, excited. And I'm happy for him.
I saw a promo still for Vengeance last night and it was of Lucretia. Spoilery, yes. But it was a surprise! It answered one question. Everyone in Batiatus' villa died except Lucretia. Now, what will she do. She lost everything. Haldir, er... Claudius Glaber now becomes the main enemy of the gladiators. So how will Ilythia come in? Would she take Lucretia under her wing or help her in ANY way? How about Aurelia?
I'm just so excited. This was one of the shows I thought I would not like but the complete opposite happened. I fucking LOVE this show. And Gannicus. XD
