American Idiot Challenge Day Twenty-Six
How long have you been a fan? How has your time in love with this show been?
While Minority is my favorite Green Day song, American Idiot is my favorite Green Day album. I remember when it first came out, my friends and I would jam to BoBD and WMUWSE armed with two guitars.
When they announced that they will produce a musical based on the album, I knew I had to see it. Good thing I like in the same state as Berkeley, albeit different cities lol.
And even a couple of states didn’t keep me away! When it went to Broadway, I was there also. I am in love with the show, the music, and most of all, with the cast. The best times of my life so far have been in NYC, at the St. James Theatre with the friends I’ve made through this show. I’ve been with many fandoms and nothing has ever compared with this AI experience. Sure, there are some who are not really my type of people but the FRIENDS I’ve made are just… the best mishmash ever. From theatre geeks to Green Day fans to fans of individual cast members.
PS: Also, they made a very smart choice of employing Stark Sands. That’s plus points right there. ;-)
