I call it making the most out of this trip. I only have a month so I'm taking all the chances I get. ;-)
[I'll be back for good someday. - Wicked.]
I love all these American Idiot events going on. And how close they are to me! To quote another line from Wicked, "Perfect timing!"
So anyway, Bloomingdale's is not exactly walking distance but close. I got there early. Just... EARLY. I was not the first in the line itself but I am sure as fuck that I was the first "Idiot" (so to speak) there. I got to the mall and what's the first thing I see on the escalator up to 2nd floor?
This. I realized I had HOURS to kill, so I walked around the block, had lunch, and made a dent on "Helmet for my Pillow" (yep, still on that. I know I'm slacking.) by Robert Leckie.
Like I said, I wasn't first in line but definitely was one of the first 50 people in line. That meant I got a
free shirt! And a free poster to have signed. That's almost $70 savings! X-D
I knew Stark will be there (duh!) but
Tony Vincent was a VERY pleasant surprise! So much love for this man! This time, I know who's who on my
signed poster. Haha! Huge problem: how am I going to send this back to LA when I go home? Definitely will NOT fold or roll this up. :\
[Yeah, I'm jumping. Coherency has left me; it's late and I'm tired.]
Michael Esper is left-handed. That is WIN. And yes, he remembered me. "Still no In'N'Out. Dude, I'm all sad and down because of that fucking April Fools joke."
I finally got to meet
John Gallagher, Jr.! And he was so nice! [I failed to take a photo with him. Everything went by so fast. I don't think I said 10 words - well, apart from the conversation with Esper lol.] I have a pin button attached to my bag. It has my name on it; I got it from the EPA event in DC. When i said my hello, John went, "'Cate', is that your name? Cute! Hi I'm John, nice to meet you." *dies* OMG. I think I blushed. And if that wasn't enough, when Rebecca was signing my poster, John went, "Wait... have we met before?" Waaaah! [Johnny, I tweeted at you before. I was the one who told you that the In'N'Out joke was by College Humor. LMAO.] I told him that I just saw him during the final preview. And he was like, "Oh okay, thanks." I wonder where that came from.
[Isn't it awesome that the thing that "connects" me with Johnny and Esper is a burger joint? LMAO.]
And of course,
Stark Sands. Hee! FourthSixth photo and counting. I hope he did what Johnny did and noticed my pin so I won't be the "GK girl" anymore. ;-) Not that I mind haha. He was like, "Oh hi!" with this look of recollection on his face. Please don't think I'm stalking you, Stark. I'm really not. I really love this photo albeit a bit blurry. I practically dived across the table for it. XD And oh,
HANDS. Yes, I went there.
All of them seem like they were in a hurry to go. Especially Stark. Well, they did have a show the same night. :) Anyhoo... the wait was worth it. Made a new friend, got free stuff, saw the Idiots again. :) It's all good!
