Whenever I watch Roger's matches, he seems to have a hard time. And when I step out of the room, he either holds at love or gets it to deuce and breaks. :| You know what, it works for other players too!
Like in the Men's 3rd Round of the US Open.
I was watching the Nadal def Troicki match this... uh... midnight. First set, even if Rafa took it 6-4, he was having a hard time to break. Troicki was serving too well. The only time he broke was I think it was in 4-4, then he got to serve for the set. Then 2nd set, he got broken in his second service game. And then when I started to doze off, he managed to break to 3-3. Checking the results when I woke up, I saw that that was the last game Troicki won not only in that set, but... EVER! o.O The third set was a trip to the bakery for a bagel. (What a time to sleep, noh?) Final score was 6-4 6-3 6-0.
I did manage to finish the Match of the Giants, Querrey (6'6") def Karlovic (6'10"). I didn't pay much attention because I don't like either player but one of the two will be Rafa's next foe. Sam Querrey it is. (Would be more interesting if it were Ivo Karlovic but oh well.)
The reason I slept at the first place was the Wawrinka DEF Cipolla match. Yes... DEFEAT. *points at icon* I support the Swiss. Stan was two sets down, 5-7 and 6-7 (4/7) in the first and second sets. Then I slept. I didn't wake up to finish any of the matches I started. Checking Wikipedia for results, Stan went on to win in FIVE SETS, 5-7 6-7 (4/7) 6-4 6-0 6-4. HOPP SUISSE! X-D
Another match that I started but... actually, didn't BOTHER to finish was Murray def Melzer , the one who demolished Stan in the Olympics. Also was a five-setter. Next round, Stan and Murray will face each other. Again, HOPP SUISSE!
Speaking of another Swiss, Timea Bacsinszky. Won the first set against Safina 6-3. Lost the second 5-7. And now, down 5-1 in the decider. As much as I love the Swiss, I love Safina more. Great effort from Timea though. (Both of them are using Babolat Pure Storm.)
The match I didn't start but finished, well.... Nalbandian lost to that Monfils (whom I detest). :|
