I was charged with guarding the Giant Kharlan Tree a long time ago. It was important to the world-central in the world’s mana distribution. Without it the world would have slowly died, and there would have been much disaster. Not too different from what that book said, but it also got who I was wrong. I am not a messenger squirrel

Um, this is Emil again. I don't think I remember things as clearly as Ratatosk does, but I think he worked alone. Do you really think he could have worked with a goddess?

Ah. I wasn't speaking of the goddess, but the Spirit Martel. The guardian of Yggdrasil in my time.

Maybe that's why Ratatosk hasn't been appearing very much. Maybe's he's upset that he was replaced?

Hm. Is that even possible? I've never heard of a spirit retiring.

Neither have I, but you would know more than me. And Ratatosk might know more than either of us, but I don't think I can make him come out.

I should hope not. Summon Spirits are supposed to be on the side of good and justice and all that.
