Is it possible that what we remember is fake?

I remembered something that doesn't fit with what I know. I can imagine what happened clearly, but it just doesn't make sense! It can't be true.

Lots of stuff that people remember doesn't make sense. Have you seen how often people freak out when they remember stuff?

The key is to type whatever springs to mind while reading the post. Boredom helps.

It's not that my memories don't make sense in themselves. Well, that is true, but what I remembered earlier...I can see it so clearly, like it just happened, but I can't believe that it happened at all! Somebody I know here was involved, and I can't ever see that person doing those things...

Huh. Well, maybe you don't remember everything that happened? Nothing really makes sense even if you remember it, anyway.

But I remember it from beginning to end, and even if I didn't that wouldn't change what I saw. I want to believe in that person, but the memory is so vivid I can't just forget it.
