Holy fuck, I'm still alive. Fancy that.
Bad news: I sliced off a minor-yet-still-notable chunk off the side of my left index finger. Missed what I was attempting to cut at work, and drove it right into my hand - including partially underneath and parallel to the nail. It's nothing that I needed severe medical attention for, but the fact that it's on my pointer finger means that typing's a bitch.
Good news #1: Erin and I are going to a concert this Sunday. Puddle of Mudd, Three Days Grace, and (*squee!*) Breaking Benjamin. I am, in a nutshell, "stoked". I have the following day off, so I have no qualms with screaming my damn head off until my voice is absolutely gone. At the risk of sounding like a complete wanker, <3 Breaking Benjamin.
Good news #2: Erin and I have a new place to live come August. It's in a nicer area, and with a crapton more floor space, so it'll be nice to have my things in a location other than almost solely on my desk. Plus, a lot of stores we've been wanting to go to but hardly do because they're currently a bit of a drive away are literally within walking distance. There's a Target, Barnes & Noble, CompUSA, and Best Buy right on the street we'll be at, and you can see Kroger's just past the back window across the road. It'll be nice to be able to walk to the grocery store if we need something right away.
Good news #3: We're going on vacation on the 8th. We're going to see Jenn and Tim for a day or two, and then zipping up to Guelph to hook up with some very, very good friends of mine. Not that I'm not excited to see Jenn and Tim, mind you, because they're awesome folks. However, the prospect of meeting up with some friends I've known for years, in addition to some new folks from the Guard circle, makes this one eagerly-awaited vacation.
Good news #4: Things with City of Heroes have finally gotten back to normal. There was a brief period within the Guard that the term "powderkeg" would have been putting it mildly, but it looks like things are finally settling back down. In addition, the latest major update added inventions - crafting, for the non-CoH folks - so I've been feeling pretty excited as I check it all out.
Good news #5: I have less than two months of my job at Sheetz remaining. Honestly, the store I'm currently at sucks complete and total ass. People are absolutely incompetent, abrasive, and utterly uncooperative. It's no wonder that store can't seem to turn itself around - the employees it retains are lethargic assholes, and the ones that bother to do some work don't stay long enough to make any kind of impact. Once I'm gone, I'm pretty convinced there's a phrase involving hell and handbaskets that'll be applicable.
Good news #6: I'm on my last week of classes for this quarter. YAY.
