*Galvatron sits at the controls of a small, stolen freighter that is making its way slowly through space in the direction of Earth. Admittedly, he's only "sitting at" by virtue of concentrating on staying solid enough not to fall through the chair, but the basic idea is there ( Read more... )

Cureall manages to find her way down to engineering with only a minor slip from one of the ladders that skinned her knee. She approaches the two men who are curled up together quitely,"Perceptor? Wheeljack? This one has been sent to inform you that the Dis has arrived and we are now docked with it."

Perceptor watches her approach, having heard her when she first entered Engineering. "Thank you Cureall," he replies softly, still holding Wheeljack in his arms. "I will awaken him and we shall join everyone momentarily." He offers her an expression of quiet sympathy and apology, however, he does not make any move to awaken Wheeljack while she is there.

She nods, "Please be careful on your way up. A few on the ladders are not a sturdy as they should be." Cureall gives a polite bow before walking away.

Perceptor waits until she has exited Engineering before tipping his head down to nuzzle the top of Wheeljack's head. He gently jostles his mate, prepared to dodge if Wheeljack flails out of sleep.

"Wheeljack. The ship has rendezvoused with the Dis - Galvatron's ship. It is time to awaken."

"Five more minutes," Wheeljack mumbles grumpily, wrapping his arms more firmly around his Perceptor-pillow. "'m tired, an' I just wanna sleep..."

Perceptor would like nothing better than to remain there, hiding in Engineering for as long as possible, particularly with Wheeljack snuggled into him. However, he has the feeling that if they do not make an appearance soon, someone will come looking for them.

He would rather face everyone on his terms. He nudges Wheeljack again.

"If we do not make an appearance soon, I have the feeling that we may experience the Dis's rapid accelleration from right here, rather than safely secured elsewhere. Galvatron is... not a patient entity."

To underscore that, a massive clang rings through the ship, very much like the sound of a larg - impatient - fist striking the hull from the exterior.

Wheeljack grumbles a little more, but he reluctantly lets Perceptor go to scrub at his eyes. "Did you sleep at all?" he asks once he's a little more coherent, looking worriedly up at Perceptor. "Or am I going to have to do something drastic to get you to get some sleep?"

"I am fine for now, Wheeljack," he replies, shaking his head. The comment about drastic measures sends a brief flicker of anxiety through Perceptor before he shoves it down, firmly ignoring it. Wheeljack would never hurt him.

"We should exit the freighter while we have the chance."

All Wheeljack meant by "something drastic" was "find a room nobody's using, lock it, and watch movies or play games until Perceptor fell asleep.

"Sounds like a plan," he agrees, standing up and offering Perceptor a hand up. "Rapid acceleration in a room like this could be messy."

"Please don't." Wheelie sits up, rubbing his eyes. He'd tucked himself into a corner after Galvatron took control of the ship. "Are we on Earth yet?"

Perceptor flinches, having somehow not noticed Wheelie sneak into Engineering with them, despite keeping watch. The youth is quite adept at being stealthy.

"N-no. No. The freighter has rendezvoused with the Dis," he explains as he wills his heart to slow its frantic beating. He turns to nod at Wheeljack, agreeing with his assessment about rapid acceleration. "Earth will likely not be long off, once Galvatron assumes control of the Dis." Unspoken that the trip would be safer aboard the Dis itself, rather than aboard a freighter in the Dis's hold.

"Which is why we need to get our afts in gear and get on the right ship," Wheeljack adds, shooing them both out of engineering and towards the Dis.
