Guess where I’m going??
Hollywood!! T-Mobile had a sales contest last year and the top 13 people from each region won a trip for 2 to Hollywood. Obviously J.R was one of the winners and it’s funny cause he only worked there for 9 months of the year. They’re paying for the plane tickets, hotel and quite a bit of food. We leave at 8:45am April 7th, which is a Thursday, and get home around 11pm on the 10th (Sunday). While we’re there, we have to go to various dinners and an award ceremony for all the winners. The T-Mobile stuff should be boring as hell although there is a chance of getting to meet Catherine Zeta-Jones, lol. I never know what to wear to things. One night there is a “Cocktail Reception” from 6-7 followed by “Celebration Dinner and Program” from 7-10. How dressy do you think I should be for that? I’d obviously wear a dress or skirt, but I just don’t know how fancy to go. I really need to buy some new clothes before we go, but we’re trying to save money for the trip. I’m going to have to get at least a few things though. Cali people...I have some questions. We’re staying at the Renaissance Hollywood. I looked at the website and it looks really nice. Anything I should know? What’s the weather/temperature normally like in early April? Our itinerary says that one afternoon they will have complimentary shuttles to Santa Monica Pier and Third Street Promenade. What are these places and should we go? We have a limited amount of “free time” so we want to figure out what we should do/avoid before we get there. We’re also not going to have any transportation (aside from a cab, I guess) so that’s something to keep in mind. Any ideas or suggestions? I’ve never been to the west coast so I’m super excited!
My sister’s school has FINALLY set a day for graduation so now I can start planning our Nashville trip. We were waiting for the date so J.R. would know how much time to take off work. (He was definitely going to my brother’s wedding) A girl J.R. works with is also asking for those same days off, so hopefully it’ll all work out and he’ll get to go to both things.
J.R. once again won something else from T-Mobile. Somehow he got a new Motorola A630, but he didn’t want it so he gave it to me. Yay! It’s a lot easier to type on this phone, so I’ll probably keep my AIM on more often.
Hmm...what else is going on? The band has another show on Thursday, which I just realized is St. Patrick’s Day, so that should be interesting. They’re playing with Via Sahara so there will undoubtedly be a huge crowd, not to mention it’s one of the biggest drinking days of the year. More details on that later, I’m sure.
