(no subject)
Last night we went to J.R.'s mom's house because she wanted to make a late birthday dinner for me. (My b-day was Saturday... J.R. and I went out to dinner and then rented movies. Nothing too exciting, but it was nice.) Anyway, we saw the new stray cat that Lauren, J.R.'s younger sister, has sort of adopted. It is an all black older kitten with light green eyes. Sooo cute! J.R. and I fell in love with it and J.R. proceeded to beg Lauren for the cat the rest of the night. She's the biggest animal lover I know and she didn't want to give the kitten away. What's strange is that neither J.R. nor I are cat people most of the time, but this cat is perfect. On the ride home, we decided that we were going to go to this nice local animal adoption center on Sunday to try and find another cat we wanted. (We're only allowed to have cats in our building.) Anyway, J.R. just called me from work and said that Lauren had just called him. Their mom doesn't want another animal inside their house, and Lauren doesn't want it outside during the winter so she's going to give it to us. I'm so excited! They're going to bring it over on Sunday. I can't wait!
