Last night we went to see "Miracle on Easy Street" which is sort of a variety Christmas musical done by Easy Street Productions (the only professional theater company in this town). Maureen gave us free tickets and REALLY good seats. The performance was sooo fabulous!! There were a ton of dancers and little kids in the show. The choreography was amazing with all those people on stage. Plus, it's always nice to see Jimmy (who played Hedwig locally this summer) perform. There's no way I could do the show justice by describing it. It's one of those things you just have to see.

I love being "in" with the theater community. We've made such great friends who have become sort of like family within the past 6 months. There are so many amazingly talented people in this shitty town. It makes me mad that more people don't appreciate that and support local professional and community theater companies. There could be a great artistic scene (not so underground) in this town if people could stop talking about high school football for a little while and experience something new.

Well, I guess I should go and start getting ready for J.R.'s mom's Christmas party. Unfortunately I don't feel very well, so I'm not really looking forward to it.
