This was posted by my dear friend Kris from colorado, just take a second to read it and take it in.
-republicans are unified in their platform. democrats are not.
yeah, i would've like to have seen where kerry took us for four years, but since the party he represents can't row a boat in a straight line (to paraphrase rudy), it could've been as awful as we claim the last four years were. the MTV "vote or die" propaganda was disgusting. i hope to God i never see p. diddy advocating voting again in my life. four years from now, hopefully (hopefully!) democrats will have their act together and will be able to pose a unified idea of a nation to the voters. as this was hailed as "the most important election of our lifetime", the chances of it affecting the youth of america, i.e. us, is slim. we still have shelter to live under, we're not losing jobs, we still have a contigency plan (i.e. our parents), so let's not divide among friends over this because for many of us, it was our first election, and there will be more. stop with the propaganda, stop with the low blows. it's not changing anything. talk is cheap. if you want to see a change, make it happen. these livejournal posts are certainly a step in the wrong direction.
