Doug and I have just returned home from a frightful, horrifying outing at the Toronto Metro Centre.
The Canadian Bridal Show. *insert horror music here*
What drove us, against our best interests and instinctive impulses, to show up there, is beyond reason. Or too plainly within reason to suit our fancy.
Whatever, it was just what you would think it to be; a bunch of very bored and tortured sales reps sitting around desperately aiming their wares at you for inflated prices known to the bridal industry today.
Screw that! We're going to Belize, I say.
Or somewhere south with jungle adventure and ancient ruins to boot.
I'd like it to be a big adventure type deal where the bridal party takes a few days before the wedding to do things like black hole cave diving and exploration. There are so many options and possibilities it is making my head swim.
You can float lazily down jungle rivers on inner tubes with head torches, entering into caves filled with huge spiders and awesome bats, to be spat out into a lovely lagoon or ocean.
I told Doug it would be like a re-birthing.
He just laughed and told me I was over analazing, that it would just be FUN, and that's about the depth of it.
I'd like to get married atop ancient ruins.
But where? They're all over Central, South America and Mexico. Decisions with so many possibilities are always a bit of a challenge, being the Libra Lady I am.
I will endure. *a bit of 1950's drama in her eyes*
I've decided to continue journalling again, as I am no longer feeling the need for introversion. Let the show begin!! (if only it where that exciting)
I've been taking Cello Lessons for the last little while, which I LOVE LOVE LOVE. I have totally found my instrument, which is feeding me in many other areas as well.
I've been taken to making an army of really quirky stuffed monsters. It started with a craft project with Doug's Nieces and Nephews and has turned into something much more evil. *rubs her hands together with a disturbing sinister giggle* They will help me take the world, THE WORLD!!!
Well, ok, maybe a slight exaggeration, but they are pretty cool. I'm thinking about trying to sell them to some of the little shops around Queen street.
All for now. Life is divine as ever.
