Love insecurity: Otp triumph

I’ve fallen out of a lot of ships. I remember the lingering feeling of loving those ships. But the fandom just failed all together for me. That above everything else killed my enthusiams for it.
So for me, fandom is a tug of war relationship with me. This is the CANON fandom, people, not the fanon farm.

Sometimes before I pick up a game, I get a feel around the characters in RPGs. This leads me to start nitpicking romances--if it's reational to do so, which characters with whom, which not, which love triangle, ect--
Tales of Symphonia I've been avoiding like a hellstorm. But people like it, and that means the game's concept can't be that batshit. I personally think the game looks beautiful. Though the leading character could be less of an upbeat sue.
Weakness:
I do have the vulnerability of allowing PEOPLE, as in the FANS, to kill my otp. So you can imagine how I feel about the shitheads of the ShikaIno fandom. And I’m not taking that back.
I have a nasty, nasty habit of falling head over heels for sexy, sexy video game fandoms. And believe it or not, I feel most comfortable with them. Only this time, I’m saying it because I’m more secure about my personal tastes in pairings in this genre. It’s oddly enough, not controlled by the level of validity. And I love every minute of it.
In other words, I love the hated pairings with pride.
ZELOS SHEENA IS CANON.

To some extent. I’ve learned from anime RPGs that when there is such thing as Romance, ever, admitted in the game…that’s when the possibilities don’t end. Zelos has a validated DATE SCENE with Sheena in this game.
And in the end of the game, you’re given to option to kill off this character. And during his death scene, Sheena is mostly silent but is confirmed to be crying her balls off during that time.
You cannot tell me that it isn’t couple-y. Because I’ll just ignore you XD
What fandom has taught me is that. Thank you, fandom.
I suggest this~ The Player and the Hater Everlasting perfection for a title; describing their relationship on a simple platform. [There is under-appreaciated work on FF.net for a reason. And that makes me appreciate it even more.]
