a great December for me...............
the year 2008 had been pretty tough for me, and i'm really glad, and blessed, that December had turned out to be great for me~~~~~
there were some problems on n off during this month, and it also came with some unhappiness, but one good fren of mine encouraged me with a super touching sms, and hella yeah, he was pretty right that i should dump away those unhappiness and immerse myself in the holiday celebration, as well as my birthday......
we started off with a funny birthday celebration for another good fren of mine.... as our company have moved to the more "country-side" area of Singapore, its really hard to actually find a good place to celebrate birthdays..... initially was planning to go for some japanese food in a japanese food court... but end up we ordered KFC delivery instead...... the ordering process was quite funny cos someone suddenly had an an idea and started drawing a chicken and label the parts that we order....
it was so funny when we were there, esp the Zinger (became the shit from chicken lol).... the chicken so far, still on that board.......
then after that i had my birthday celebrations with different ppl..... first was a few of my jc classmates, where we meet up and had a meal at ichiban sushi followed by dessert in gelare..... they shared and gave me a bag, which is also my style of bag, sling :D then got one day went for dim sum lunch, followed by KTV, and then dinner @ a korean restaurant........ one fren specially applied leave to celebrate my bday somemore (not on my actual day though) *touched*...
on the actual day, cos i supposedly got a meeting, so went to work that day.... one of them bought me a baa baa blue sheep pillow for me to hug while i working..... very sweet gift~~! and for lunch we ordered Mac Delivery..... they specially ordered a Sundae, then put a candle on top of it, as my bday cake *haha* then dinner time went to a coffeeshop near the mrt station to have kwey chap.... quite special cos its the first time i ate kwey chap with duck meat haha..... got many frens wishes also, which i really really think is enough :D their thoughts are one of the best gifts that i can get :D
the next day was our company annual D&D.... this year we had some games since afternoon, like bowling, snooker, paintball, ktv, etc...... initially had wanted to join Paintball, but decided to change my mind instead, go for KTV..... the KTV session started off with a competition to decide the winner for the KTV category, and its actually a song guessing competition..... playing the front part of the song (without singer singing), guess the song name, if no one know, then they will air the audio, if still cannot then the host will say the song name, if anyone can sing will got prize also...... hmmmm, this one actually is one of my 强项 cos of the amount of songs that i listen to..... so end up emerge as the winner for that category...... during the award presentation, kena sabo by my colleagues also to sing (to prove the worthiness *sweat*) then we watched the photos taken during the day, then see facebook's group photos, then lucky draw..... was super lucky this year again, to win the 8th prize..... hehe.....
then some of my current teammates just came back from overseas, and bought some souvenirs for us..... it looks like a mini traditional costume of that country, but is actually wine cover or wat...... we also never use it for wine cover also, end up i use it for my soft toy shirt, looks super cute!!! but cos my soft toy very thin, so looks very tek ko....... then my lao da use it as the shirt for his figurine as well, looks like ah beng unwillingly wearing the traditional costumes.... the funniest one would be a garfield soft toy wearing the costume, it looks really like how the people there wear the shirt LOL~~~ super funny....
partly cos of winning the lucky draw prizes, i got a number of vouchers, so on Monday, went for xmas shopping after meeting up my ex-boss... this year, decided to get chocolates, and wrap them up for all my frens.... oh boy, its a difficult task!! took me the whole night to wrap around 18 packets only :( and the next day cos working OT, so couldnt continue the wrapping, so the remaining frens i can only give them unwrapped chocolates liao :S on xmas eve, gave out the chocolates, and had a long chat with someone with regards to his annual appraisal, then we had our monthly birthday celebration in office..... as the xmas mood was pretty high, L took her laptop into the room and started singing christmas carols.... pretty funny as we were all "fa la la la la la la la la" cos duno the other lyrics lol~~~ then we took a photo together in front of the xmas tree in office.... overall the xmas mood was strong in the office~~
after work, meet up with my fren again, to pass the vcd and book i borrowed, and also meet up for lunch.... had ichiban sushi, then walk walk a while before taking a bus home.......
on boxing day, office was pretty empty, think around 1/3 of our normal strength..... had a funny lunch with my teammates, and the 2 of them were pretty blur, and laughing at one another.... make me feel so funny also...... then its also the last day of some IA students, and 2 of them whom i gave them some advices for Java, they bought me a big octopus + chocolates.... wah the octopus is really cute... pink and with a butterfly on its head... haha....
gaming wise, been feeling upset on and off cos of the game.... the game on my bday nite was like, super imbalance..... first game tried to ask them to balance, but they refused to.... second game, my "dota brother" say he will bring 2 guys along, make them pay for the imbalance game..... end up although we won, but i wasnt happy also, cos the game super imbalance again (this time to the advantage of my side).... made me feel, maybe i not suitable to play it.. cos its basically just a game, but i treat it too seriously like that...... stopped the game for 1 week to settle down again, and started playing again........ had been lucky these past few days where games are quite balanced.... balanced games, win or lose i still ok, cos we enjoyed the process mah :P
many of my frens, also had quite a bad year in 2008 as well... with the nice feelings in this December, i really hope that 2009 will be a better year ahead....... not only for myself, hopefully for everyone also....... :D
