Scared nostalgia
This is pretty random but hey, what the heck right?
Did you watch any horror movies when you were little and got really scared from it? I remember watching Nightmare on Elm St when I was like 4 or 5, and my uncle's grandson watched it with me but pretended to sleep through it so he wouldn't have to see it. I think I was lying down on my stomach underneath a deck chair on the carpet while my friend "slept" on the couch. Yeah, I still remember some of the movie even though I only saw it that one time. Now every time I see a bath drain I'm like "hmmm, don't sit on it..."
Also I remember getting a little freaked out watching Terminator back in the day. The scene where the terminator comes back to life from the fuel truck explosion. I think the stop motion animation/special effects is what made it seem so scary to me, that jerky kind of motion.
