Be Sovereign

Had a horrible headache all day today. I was hoping to hang in there until 5pm but I had to bow out at 4pm- too much stimulus in the office making my headache worse. Everything which tickled my senses caused the pain to intensify- the light from the counter above to the sound of keys clicking, every tap another pound on the nail of this coffin. Even the touch of my jacket  on my skin flowing in the wind grated each minute till I left. Jacket off, earphones in- somehow my own music didn't hurt as bad and I ended up flagging down a cab halfway to the MRT station because walking was a pain. Each step on the hot pavement burned as though I were barefoot.

Now that I am more lucid I balk at the price I paid- literally. The ride home was a whooping $12.50! That is more then my one day's budget for transport and food =.= There has to be some adjustments this week.

The hike yesterday was great. Sure we didn't talk alot but the view was great and sometimes it is just plain relaxing to walk in nature, clearing your mind of all thoughts and worries. Still got something of the old route march in me I suppose- not only were there no blisters on my feet but I didn't get any abrasions or aches- which usually appears for any march beyond 8km. Pretty neat.

Someone or something only has as much power over you as you choose to deliver unto them. Sure it is no longer any fun if you refuse to submit to a "jinx" and just carry on talking but the fact above is painfully clear when mirrored in other situations. No one should hold such sway over another to cause them to become a willing slave bound under unspoken oath to a master who may not even recognize your devotion. What then is death but the passing of another life not your own- no person dead or alive should be able to bind another as such, to cause them pain or distress at will- willingly or unwillingly. Live on- without such frivolous things, without having to carry such invisible burdens. Those bonds are heavy, brittle and useless, discard them. Live as one for One.

Dance with me, because if you've got the poison,
I've got the remedy

The remedy is the experience.
This is a dangerous liaison
I say the comedy is that it's serious.
This is a strange enough new play on words
I say the tragedy is how you're gonna spend
The rest of your nights with the light on

I won't worry my life away.

personal, life, random
