Shit! I hate it when my internet goes down! Mind you, I suppose that that does tend to happen when one's phone bill gets that high. Oops. But did they have to cut off my phone four days before Christmas? I mean, come on! And then, the phone company had the nerve to send us a Christmas card. You've got to love it.
Great Christmas though! Got lots of gorgeous clothes and accessories from the relatives, as well as symphony tickets. No Phantom tickets though, unfortunately, but my Dad said that he might get me those for my birthday. Which, by the way, is tommorrow! Yay! Happy birthday to me! Oh! and I also got huge amounts of spending money! I had hoped to spend it on lots of Phantom soundtracks, but nobody had the ones I wanted, which sucked. So I settled for the Essential Leonard Cohen two-CD set instead. I did manage to order the German Phantom cast recording as well as a CD of music by Arvo Part though, so that was cool. But I really wanted to get the soundtrack from the Robert England film version! It's got a really funky organ piece, and a gorgeous violin solo.
In other news, I might have a real job finally! That is to say, I might have a job that will actually pay me, as opposed to the shit that I'm technically doing right now, except that I've really slacked off it, which only pays me if I actually am successful in recruiting canvasers. But the job for which I'm going in for training on Monday pays by the hour plus commission! Much better! I just hope that they can work out some of the remaining accessibility issues and actually hire me. But the fact that I've been asked to come in for training seems pretty positive, so we'll have to see.
Damn! I should have cut my nails before coming over here. It's getting hard to type.
Anyway, will post again, uh, whenever I get the chance. God I miss my internet connection, even if it was only dyle-up access! Must phone Primus and see if I can get dsl again, not to mention communication services that I can actually afford.
