And on a better note, happy New Year everybody!
Wow! Yee-Gods! I can't believe it's freaking 2008 already! Where the hell have the past eight years gone so damned fast?
Anyway, I hope all you guys out there had a great and fun New Years's Eve! Mom and I did. We had lunch with my Grandmother, and then came up to my place to watch the countdown after doing some shopping! We bought me a new pair of speakers for my computer, as I appear to have wire-fried my old ones LOL probably from having the bass cranked too high. Oops! Anyway, after that we spent a quiet evening at my place, had dinner, and watched the ringing in of the New Year on TV, alternating between our local station and the big count-down in Time Square on CNN. That was fun! CNN's 2007 wrap-up of all the year's best and worst was hilarious in a sick sort of way. And we had lots of beverages with shots of brandy in them! Then, once the New Year was rung in, Mom headed home because there was a snowstorm coming in. And I stayed up and played a computer-game, read some Phanfic, and listened to Nightwish!
LOL my New Year's Day hasn't gone as planned at all, but that probably has to do with my having stayed up so late, er, make that all night, last night. It was fun though, LOL except for my speakers being weird, me being totally accident-prone (probably tipsy from all the brandy), and my having apparently completely lost my freaking touch with that computer-game! Arg! How totally embarrassing! Anyway, I had all these great plans of getting up nice and early and working on stuff today, but need I say that that didn't happen? I think I'll still be able to get a good deal of that work done though. Mostly some writing, some work on my songs, and some more work on getting comfortable with the new sound-editing program I downloaded last week. Oh yeh. And I meant to get some schoolwork done too, and of course my laundry. Hmmm. Don't know if I'll get quite *all* of that accomplished though.
