what ^UP^ world...
Today was a pretty okay day. This week is about to drive me insane, though... Since the hurricane effed up our school calendar, they decided to make this week a 1-6 week every day (opposed to block schedule) to make up for lost time. Umm.. hello... They're assigning homework that usually takes two days to complete, yet we only have one. So yeah, Calc is kickin my arse once again. I ALMOST got out, but right as my guidance councelor was making the change the principal walks in...
"Miss Carmen, what are you doing?"
"....getting out of AP Calc.. I can't take it anymore... I studied 5 hours for the midterm and got out with a 68 INCLUDING the 10 point curve.. I'm not with that."
"Don't be a quitter. You can do it. Don't let one test grade discourage you. Blahblahblahimtalkingbutnooneisreallylisteningblahblah."
SO, I talked to my teacher and she said she felt like I could do it.. and I decided to stay in. Plus, it's my only AP class and if I got out, colleges might turn their nose up at me...
Last night I went to bed @ like 11 and decided to wake up @ 2 to do my homework... well.. that didn't work out.. but when I woke up I had a text message.. from no one else but Carlos... saying he wanted to work things out.. which was a big surprise to me.. but why text something like that if you're serious about it? Wouldn't you want to tell somebody that in person, on the phone if need be? I'm trying to focus on what he IS doing opposed to what he's not... hm. We'll see how that goes.
I saw my "best friend" today. She's been acting really shady towards me lately.. not returning my calls, being a bee answering my text messages.. and why? I don't know.. but like Bri said, I don't need that.. it's 2005. (lol this year is MINE) I'm not waiting around to kiss anybody's behind about anything.. and I refuse to go out of my way to stay cool with someone. If they don't wanna be cool with me, that's on them... which also signifies that we really weren't cool in the first place. Moving on...
I saw The Butler Did It Tonight and it was soooo cute. I was laughing the entire time. People said I laughed too loud... but hey, I'm far from a quiet person. and I LOVE laughing.. so there u have it :)
