Feedback on Flashbacks
So I have this new story sort of demanding my time and attention, and since the feeling is mutual I've given in to it.
At one point, I decided I needed some notes, and in writing them realized that I wanted this to be a bit more...difficult. (I know, crazy, right?) The story has some darker themes and I want it to feel almost choppy or disjointed. Is that nuts? TBH, I'm not even sure why I feel that way, but I'm thinking about using flashbacks, and was wondering if any of you ever use them, or what you think of them as a writing device? I want the storyline to be broken, not the story...
