AN ARCHIVE OF WOUNDS @ AMBASCIATA DI MARTE

Oct 17, 2005 02:10

I had a wonderful night at Ambasciata di Marte yesterday night; thanks to all the friends who came to watch our video, it was really nice to see that over 50 people made an effort to come before dinner in order to catch the screening. I know it was an early start, but we were forced to do so...

By 10 PM the place was fully packed, so that at midnight the gates were closed and nobody else was let in, I hope nobody who really wanted to see the video missed it because of that. I unfortunately had to go set up the afterparty very early (11.30 PM), therefore I missed the best part of the night. However, I spent quite some time talking to most of those who came before that time, and what a joy it was to hear that everybody enjoyed Channel 83's latest production.

I was a little moved by the supersweet ovation that we got at the end of the screening, some of you are by all means my best friends...thank you for showing such a support for my work. I liked the fact that there were many new faces too, though, it was quite flattering to see that the attention towards the video wasn't exclusively a matter of friendship. Total attendance was a few hundreds people...

Finally, I want to thank Acme, Michael Students and Mass_Prod for helping me set up a wicked party. I was so sorry for having to go throughout Mass_Prod's set, and not at all surprised to receive an sms saying "Mass_Prod is tearing the place down, where the hell are you???" while they were behind the decks. Ambasciata di Marte was a great choice for a venue, I think, and I am sure we'll be back there soon.

For one last time, I want to say thank you to all the participating artists, and to Goofo and Martino especially: "An Archive of Wounds" is even better than I ever dreamed for it to be.
