UPDATE: STEFANO VAILATI
Stefano Vailati, born in Milan 1972, is the latest artist to be added to Channel 83's GALLERY: his paintings, created by merging oil paint and organic matter, present thorn apart bodies whose organs and skin are by all means open, lacerated, wounded; colour and flesh merge the one into the other (as noted by Tiziana Villani in her introduction to the artist's work that you'll soon find available on Channel 83) and reinvent the geography of the body, its organs, its muscles, the landscape of its skin.
Stefano is also art-director of Millepiani (www.millepiani.org), a very interesting project that I urge you to check out! I am very excited about this new update as I think Vailati's work perfectly pinpoints the theoretical understanding of the body that I am trying to bring forth with Channel 83...hopefully you'll find it as thought-provoking and exciting as I did!
