Whew. I had a busy day yesterday. We first level students (9 of us showed up) preparred the graduation dinner for about 110 people. We were expecting more that! The person in charge of estimating the amount of supplies we needed overestimated and we ended up with a TON of leftovers. At least no one went home hungry. :-) We had smoked brisket (prepared and cooked by someone else), corn, green beans, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, rolls, and various jello salads besides cake and beverages.
Just as the guests began arriving in the reception hall and getting in the food line did we realize that the vegetables were still cold! We had plugged too many crockpots into an electric outlet and accidently blew a fuse. It eventually got fixed, but meanwhile, we had to scramble around to find some bowls to dish up the vegetables and warm them in the microwave.
Most of us took some leftovers back home for our families. I got to bring home the leftover cake for my family! :-)
I was exhausted by the time I got back home. I'm still tired today, but hopefully I'll get a full night's rest tonight...
