Summary: To Changmins misfortune, Jaejoongs hobby is flirting with all of his band mates. But one day, Jaejoong begins to act weird. Does it really mean what Changmin is reading into his actions? And is Jaejoong the right person to love?
“You know....I can be seme, too!”
Changmin banged his head against the desk, still not believing what he had said.
How could I be more obvious?? Why don't I just run to him and kiss his daylights out?
He banged his head against the desk again, ignoring the headache that was slowly creeping up.
“What are you doing?”
Changmin stopped to hurt his forehead for a moment and looked up at Yoochun. “Hurting...myself?
His Hyung looked a bit puzzled, with the coffee in one hand and the newspaper in the other. “Oh...that's new. Go on then.”
“Thank you Hyung.” With that, Changmin continued to bang his head against the table.
“Changmin!” Their Leader stepped into the room and stopped Changmins movements. “Stop that!”
He then passed by the youngest and opened the refrigerator to get something to eat.
Changmin sighed. He was afraid of what Jaejoong thought about him now. All just because of that stupid sentence!
“Jung Yunho! What are you doing with my frying pan??” Jaejoong stumbled into the room, grabbing the frying pan out of Yunhos hands. “Did I allow you to cook in my kitchen?”
“It's not your kitchen.”
“It is! And you nearly set the whole house on fire last time you wanted to cook!”
“It was just sausages!”
“Yeah and you managed to burn them anyway!”
“That's-...”
“Yeah, now go away!” Jaejoong put the frying pan down, watching Yunho finally leave his kitchen. “That baka really tried to cook. I should make him something.” Jaejoong being not the heartless man he is, searched the drawers for the ingredients he needed.
Changmin couldn't believe his Hyung. Maybe he didn't see me? The youngest boy stood up and tried to sneak out of the kitchen, just to be stopped by Jaejoong.
“Minnie, don't try to sneak away! Help me with the soup!”
Changmin froze at the words. Damn! He did see me. The taller boy walked to stand beside his Hyung. There was that awkward silence between the two of them but Changmin really didn't know what to talk about.
Standing beside each other in the kitchen, the two of them quietly prepared the dinner.
The day continued as quietly as the dinner, with Changmin stealing secret glances at his oldest Hyung now and then. Jaejoong hadn't said a word about the incident from before. Changmin wondered whether he even had heard the sentence.
Maybe he's playing dumb? Oh wait...he don't need to play that. Changmin chuckled and continued eating.
I wonder what's so funny. Jaejoong thought while he watched the youngest member of TVXQ. He's too quiet. I mean...he's a quiet boy but...not that quiet!
Jaejoong found himself very interested in Changmins behaviour these days. Maybe it's because of me?
The oldest boy took the plates and moved them to the sink. Turning his head to the side, he watched the others leaving the kitchen. Oh well, thank you for your help!
He grabbed Yunhos shirt and smiled sweetly. “Don't say you wanted to leave! I'll give you a kiss if you help me now Yunnie!”
“Do I have to?”
“Well, yes. I don't want to do the dishes alone ag-...”
“I meant the kiss.”
“Ou! Get your sexy ass to the sink!” Jaejoong pushed Yunho in front of the sink. “And now...have fun!”
“What? I thought I should help you.”
Jaejoong grinned and placed a kiss on Yunhos cheek. “Not anymore. You're doing them alone now.”
Grinning, Jaejoong walked out of the kitchen, humming softly to himself.
The next day, Changmin tried to avoid Jaejoong as much as possible.
He sat on the couch when Yoochun approached him. “Hey Minnie.” He sat down beside the younger boy and sighed. “What's with you these days?”
“Nothing.” Changmin said tired.
“Changminnie~....are you still in love with-...”
“What??” Jaejoong walked into the room, curious about Yoochuns words. “Changmin is in love??”
Changmin threw a warning look at Yoochun. Thank you very much!
The oldest boy walked to the two of them and sat down between them. “Chamgmin?! Who is that lucky person you're in love with??”
“I'm not in love with someone.” Changmin tried to avoid the topic and changed it. “But...your hair is so much smoother! Did you use some special shampoo?”
“What? Oh Yeah! I bought a new one two days ago! It says your hair will be much healthier after using it! And know what? It works!” As Jaejoong began to talk, Changmin knew he was saved. He was so easy to distract.
“...-and now you'll see it! But enough of me..who's the person you're in love with?” Jaejoong leaned over to their youngest member. Eyes shining brightly and lips oh so near.
Changmin flinched. He had hoped that Jaejoong wouldn't ask again. “No one, really.”
“You know Minnie. I think you're lying to me.” Jaejoong said, sighing. “And I thought we were such good friend. I only want to help you.”
Changmin flinched again. He didn't wanted to hurt the person he loved the most. “I'm sorry Hyung! But there really is no one!”
He quickly stood up and made his way out of the room, hoping it was enough to end the discussion but knowing Jaejoong wasn't someone, who gave up that easily.
Jaejoong turned his attention to Yoochun, waiting silently.
“No Hyung. I won't say anything!”
Changmin threw himself into work. His Japanese was far from perfect and he wanted to work on that. It was also a good idea to keep himself busy, so that he couldn't get a chance to think about Jaejoong.
He was sure the older boy would come and ask him again about his non-existence 'love life'. As much as I love him...he can be a pain when he's curious.
As if on cue, Jaejoong opened the door to the working room, stealing a glance inside. Changmin only pretended to not noticing his Hyung, with the low flame of hope that he would go away again soon.
With no such luck, Jaejoong made his way inside the room, silently watching the younger boy. He sat down on the chair on the right side of Changmin. Shifting his look from Changmin and to the sheets, Changmin was working on, he thought about a way to communicate and not annoy the younger boy at the same time.
Jaejoong smiled as a solution hit his mind. He quietly grabbed a piece of paper and a pen.
Thinking a short time about what to write, he brought the paper in contact with the ink and wrote two small words. He then put the pen aside and pushed the paper softly to Changmin.
The taller boy raised his head, with confusion in his eyes. He read the words and couldn't help but smile at Jaejoongs cuteness.
“Tell me?”
But as sweet as the gesture was...Changmin couldn't tell him the truth.
“I'm sorry Hyung. But I'm really busy right now. Go and play with one of the others, yes?”
He knew it was cruel and he sounded cold, but he couldn't let Jaejoong know.
Jaejoong sighed and nodded. “Okay. But don't overwork yourself.” Placing a last kiss on Changmins cheek, the smaller boy made his way out of the room and to the kitchen.
Changmin stopped his writing and touched his cheek, sighing dreamingly. Why do you have to be so sweet Jae?
“You make this hard for me.”
A few minutes later, just as Changmin was back into his 'studying mode' again, the door opened with a quiet crack.
"I've made something for you!” Jaejoong declared and walked into the room, holding a box full of cookies. “I thought you need this if you're going to study that hard.” He smiled and held the box in front of Changmins face.
“Thanks...Hyung.” Changmin said, a bit startled but thankful. He wanted to take a cookie, as Jaejoong took the box away. “Tell me?” I tried again.
“Hyung.” Changmin began with a warning strain undertone in his voice
Jaejoong chuckled and gave the cookies to Changmin. “Here. I was just joking!”
Changmin raised his head to look at the older boy. Really? I don't believe you Hyung.
He watched Changmin taking a cookie and smiled. “Well...I go then.”
“Do that Hyung.” Changmin said, already looking back at the papers.
“Okay. And I like I said before...don't overwork yourself!” He ruffled the hair of the younger boy. After that, he turned around and was gone again.
The cookies were also gone in no time.
But Jaejoong just didn't liked the whole situation one bit. Who is that person he is in love with?? And why didn't I noticed that he is in love before?
Crossing his arms over his chest, Jaejoong looked around the room, just finding Yoochun still sitting on the couch.
He talked with Yoochun about it...Maybe I can get more information by treating Yoochun?
Jaejoong grinned and sat down beside Yoochun once again. “So...you're not going to tell me am I right?”
A very confused Yoochun turned his head to Jaejoong. “What?”
"About Changmin and who he is in love with!”
Yoochun groaned. Why does Jaejoong have to be that curious?
“I'm not going to tell you Jae. You should ask Changmin.”
Jaejoong distorted his face. “I have! But he won't tell me."
“And I'm not going to tell you either.” Yoochun continued.
“Oh really? I wouldn't be too sure of that.” Jaejoong grinned widely. “You know...I have that new coat.. That shining one we saw last time we were shopping!”
Yoochun swallowed nervous. “Are you talking about the one I wanted to have?”
“Yeah! That one. I bought it a while ago!”
Yoochun swallowed again. “You really bought it?? Do you think I can borrow it for the next event?” The younger asked excited.
“Yes!” Jaejoong smiled.
“Really??”
“Yes...BUT...” Jaejoong continued smiling.
“...But?”
Jaejoong leaned closer to Yoochun, foreheads touching and lips closer as needed. “First, you have to tell me who Changmin is in love with.”
“Jaejoongie~...! I can't tell you.” Yoochun whined.
The older boy backed away again and sighed playfully. “Then I can't do something about it.”
“Jaejoong!”
Said boy smiled innocently. “You just have to tell me.”
Yoochun sank back against the couch and looked at the older boy. He couldn't possibly tell what's going on. But on the other hand...Changmin is suffering, too. Maybe Jaejoong can handle this.
“Jaejoong...listen. It's not my place to tell but...”
The older boy listens quietly.
“Changmin is in love with someone. I fact he is in love with that someone quit some time now.”
“Yes. Who is it? Do I know her?” Jaejoong asked curious.
“Well...yeah. But it's not a girl.” Yoochun begins carefully watching his words. “To tell the truth, it' a boy and it's one of us.”
Jaejoong felt jealousy overcome his heart. “What? One of us?? Who?”
Changmin is in love with one of us? Who could it be? Maybe Yunho?...No, they're not that close? It can't be Yoochun so...it's either me or Junsu?
“Is it Junsu?” Jaejoong asked, feeling his heart clenching in his chest.
“What? Junsu? No.” Yoochuns answered confused. “No. It's not Junsu. It's you..” Yoochun finally said. “Changmin is in love with you, Jaejoong.”
Jaejoong eyes widened. “Me?” This wasn't a bad joke, right? “Changmin has fallen in love...with me?”
