Under the Cherry Blossoms
"Utsukushii (Beautiful)." Kotomi said to herself as she looked at the cherry blossoms petals falling from their branches.
Coming to school early sure has its advantages. I can take my time to look at the nature surrounding campus without worrying on being late for class. She thought.
She took a big breath and exhaled it as she continued admiring the scenery.
The sound of running footsteps could be heard from her right, but she didn't hear it, so engrossed was she in her own little world.
The runner wouldn't have hit her if she didn't take that one step to her right.
THUD! BOINK!
Both parties in the collision landed on their butt.
"Ittai." Kotomi said, rubbing her butt to rid of the sting.
The person who hit her stood and offered his hand to help her up.
