Today Saturday the 2nd I decided I needed pick up where i left off. I was standing outside in the dreary shower smoking a cigarette and I suddenly realized what I had been doing to myself

This job I'm in has been absolutely wonderful for me. I've learned so much in it, so maybe you can benefit from some of the things I've picked up along the way.
- The only way you can avoid being drowned out of a conversation is to force yourself into it. Be assertive...muscle people aside if you have to. Of course, there's a balance...if you're going to muscle others aside, make sure you have something to say. I'll put it this way. When someone doesn't talk at all, no one pays attention to them. But, when someone who talks occasionally asserts themselves and brings something to the forefront, EVERYONE notices.
- If you wait for something to change, you're going to be waiting forever. You have to at least take small steps for yourself...when you do that, fate or luck or (insert invisible man in the sky here) or whatever you believe in will then help you the rest of the way. In this world, the only ones that get help are the ones that help themselves. Even if you think it's just a small step, take it. That small step could be one onto a launching pad.
- One last thing that you have to understand. Those of us who know you have been acquainted with you for years, but I speak for many of us when I say that we don't know you. Who are you? What do you stand for? What do you believe? What do you like? What do you dislike? We don't know shit about you, man.
I know you probably have felt invisible at times, but it's because you've BEEN invisible. Step into the light, bro. :)
Your right and i'm sorry, I suffered so many years at the hands of those that only wanted to silence me and remind me of how "no one" cared what I liked or felt or had to say that a piece of me went completely idle at first and then slowly iced over until it was completely numb. I feel as though I have taken some small steps towards the person I want to be and the person I want everyone to know that I am. Sadly there are many memories good and bad that I simply shut out and buried deep within the recesses of my subconscious and may never be recovered...
