I am writing on behalf of the AAYP - the American Association of Young People - a not-for-profit, non-partisan organization designed to provide young Americans under 40 products and services that are relevant to them and their future. Our mission is to develop a strong membership base from the 170 million Americans under 40 and use that membership to leverage more economic and political power for dealing with corporations and Congress on behalf of American youth.
We have both online content (on our website at www.theaayp.org) and printed content, SWARM:youth.money.culture magazine. As we represent young people, we want THEIR voices to be heard. Our magazine as well as our website is largely derived of user submitted content. If you have an issue, an idea, something to talk about - let us know! Write an article! Submit photography!
Though printed space is obviously limited, all submissions will be considered - those that do not make it may end up on our online site. Written submissions can be any length, but are encouraged to have word counts falling between cave-man and five page papers.
Modest compensation will be available in some cases, but if you're just looking to build a writing portfolio, this is a great opportunity (its also a great opportunity if you're just interested in speaking up).
If you have any questions or previously unpublished submissions, please feel free to contact me at dsp@theaayp.org. Also, check out our website (www.theaayp.org) as we are constantly adding new discounts (sign up, it's FREE) on products and services that you use everyday!
