Got home Sunday night, late, and collapsed into bed. Three days at ComicCon is both very exhausting and comprehensive, though there still wasn't time to do all I wanted to, but that's more the nature of that massive con than anything else. Overall I had a ton of fun, despite the few downers. Only way I got in this year was by volunteering, though it took up time, it's a really worthwhile exchange.
Spent Friday morning in a parking search nightmare, mostly because I wasn't willing to pay over $15 for parking that's 10 or more blocks from the con. Petco Park was full up, even though the baseball stadium didn't have any event going on (gives you an inkling of the size of this con). Car met, jarringly, with a stationary pole, due to another con-going idiot that was going the wrong way in a parking lot (he was making me back up when he was going the wrong way just because he'd gone further in the lot than I had ). >:[
Did end up getting lucky in the end and found a $5 lot, but that was just way too much hassle. The other two days were far more pleasant with the parking situation, since my sis's bf helped me find information on the trolley and parking.
Met up with
dakinestuff randomly, since she didn't have her phone handy (this's for u, K :p), and also lost her randomly (really that con is way too big, even with this year's cap). Much free stuff was had, though I didn't get those super rare things like that Harry Potter bag . . .
Met some artists, bought some stuff, got some sketches, had some yummy Indian food, realized bringing fruit for lunch and dinner was a good idea this year (mmm, nectarines), saw the masquerade, saw a long clip of Wall-E, saw the Fables panel, got more free stuff (I now own 4 free T-shirts and 2 free caps, and one pair of men's briefs), slept too little, forgot to eat a few times, had enough things to do to overfill the 3 days and more, humor, comics, movies, anime, art, horror, scifi, fantasy, and far too much jostling and fun.
Will post pictures on Flickr later.
