Dana is very pleased with the work Raya has been doing for her company and is considering offering her a more formal position. She's curious to know more about her, and she's learned over the years that knowing about a person's personal life will grant valuable insight. She starts with an online search; most people have a facebook, blog of myspace

Raya makes her way up to Dana's office, making as much usual noise as a human would, though it requires conscious thought for her to do it, since she's on her guard. "You rang?" she asks, putting up the facade of completely normal, innocent.

Just like when they first met. It's not been disturbing to Raya, the ease with which she can manage that trick, for years.

"Please, have a seat," Dana indicates with a smile. "I wanted to thank you in person for all the work you've been doing for us. I hope it hasn't been too boring"

"Not at all, it's actually nice to be able to recall some of those languages. I haven't spoken them in quite a while."

Raya smiles, and sits, and though she looks calm now, her mind is going in a thousand different directions.

"How are you finding life here in the city?" she asks conversationally.

[veiled_hellion]

"It's settling," she answers. "I enjoy it here, and working for you is pleasant."

She smiles. "I imagine it must be very different from home?"

[veiled_hellion]

"It is...but not badly."

[changerofworlds]

"Badly?" she picks up on that.

[veiled_hellion]

"It's an interesting city," she says, lying easily to cover it. "And a good place to be."

She nods agreeing. "Certainly there are far worse places to be in the world. It's good to see you carving your own place here. "Tell me," she says, cheerfully, "I'm stuck in here till all hours of the night. What do people your age get up to these days?"

I'm actually not much of a night owl," she says. "But I have been out some with Will, some with a few others," she says, not mentioning any other names. "Mostly to dance places."

Dana smiles. "I don't imagine Dr. Zimmerman is pleased you've agreed to help us. I hope it hasn't strained your relationship too badly."
