first off, to clarify, in my previous post when i referred to being "swept up in a whilrwind holiday romance" it was said in an IRONIC TONE OF VOICE. come on, people. did that really sound like me? (but, as in the case of all good irony, there may have been some hint of truth in the statement.)

dad stoking the fire
what i gave bridget for christmas. this deserves a story. 'twas the night before christmas, and i realized that although i'd gotten/made my sweet sister a couple of neat things, she deserved somethign really super. so i created a masterpiece. under the christmas tree it looked like a huge present, in a well-wrapped large box. when unwrapped, the top of the box stated that it was a "party in a box". inside were several layers of tissue paper and sparkle confetti, and the following items:
-a cd, titled "bridget's super-duper party mix" (and believe me, it is super-duper)
-balloons (some inflated)
-party hats and noisemakers
-1.5 litres of cheap red wine.
