Stella the Kitty.

I met a 7-year-old, diluted tortie at the East Bay SPCA today who bled on my leg and gave me an extra incentive for finding a job and getting my own place.

Her personality card on her kennel listed her as mellow, vocal, a lap cat, cuddly, and likes to be petted. A volunteer let me hang out with her and the first thing she did was curl up on my lap. I was told she was vaccinated for FIV, but that FIV vaccinations have a 80% effective, and since the virus is in their bloodstream that means there's a 20% chance she's infected. Later, as I was leaving, I found blood smeared on my pants leg. I don't know what it was from. She had a little bit of chin acne, which was clearing up, and her paw was shaved where blood was drawn. I didn't see any other injuries.

If Stella is adoptable when I get my own place, that is the kitty for me. Once she gets that bleeding problem under control. Hopefully she's fine. Maybe her chin was bleeding.

Anyway, I don't want my parents kitty, Joey, near FIV+ blood so I'm gonna change my pants before cuddling with him.
