5.2 Skeletons in the closet
A large bang, that sounded like a door being opened with way too much force, caused Audrey to literally jump to her feet while she was sitting in the studio change room. Frightened, she turned towards the sudden noise, and was greeted by a furious looking Teagan.
“What’s wrong?” Audrey questioned in concern, as she stepped towards her friend. Her pale face was a dark red, and she looked like she could explode any minute. It obviously wasn’t the intense cerography that caused her to be so… frightening. “Teagan… Wait, what are you doing?” Audrey suddenly grew confused, as Teagan approached her, and stepped directly in front of her. The anger was directed towards the brunette. She exploded.
“I know exactly what you did! What the fuck is wrong with you!?” Audrey expected a terrible rage, and maybe even a blow to the face, but Teagan was crying and gripped into Audrey’s upper arms. Regardless, she was still furious as hell. “Why would you do something like that?”
“What?” Audrey replied slowly, as she reached to grab a hold of her best friends arms. Upon contact, Teagan flinched backwards, and glared at Audrey in disgust, slightly shaking her head.
“Don’t play the ‘I have no idea what your talking about card.’” Teagan warned her with a raised finger.
“Teagan, your hysterical. Sit down.”
“No fuck you, your disgusting.” Teagan advanced further and further away from her, and a crowd began to form in the small change room. No one dared to say anything. Audrey was beginning to feel embarrassed, and angry. She had no idea what Teagan was talking about. “What, did you not think anyone would find out? Do you think that your such a saint that no one would believe Dallas?”
Suddenly it dawned on Audrey, and she felt her whole world crash beneath her. The idea of anyone knowing, caused her to become light headed, and almost lose her lunch. She covered her mouth with her hand, and attempted to keep everything down. Including the wrong words. “Please let me explain.” She pleaded through her fingers.
Teagan shook her head, “You really don’t need to.” Teagan’s eyes were dry, and her anger grew as her suspicions were confirmed. “Audrey your disgusting. Who in the right mind would fuck their ex-fiancés brother, huh? Answer me that.”
Audrey was close to tears. She heard the gasps of disgust from the other dancers in the room. She felt like she was cornered in a bull ring. “I wasn’t in the right mind set! How could I have been, Teagan!?” Audrey screamed, as she threw down her arms desperately. “I lost Nathaniel, and I was depressed. I wasn’t thinking.”
“So you thought that going for the brother would suffice?” Teagan spat back with enough anger to pierce through Audrey’s heart.
Audrey paused, defeated. She was far too ashamed to help herself. Without another word, in a hurry she continued to pack up her belongings. Once her bag was flung over her shoulder. She wiped her tears with the back of her hand, and turned to Teagan.
The blond had a smug look on her face, and Audrey looked at her in disbelief. Did everything that happened in the past mean nothing now that Audrey made one major mistake?
“When your finished being a self-righteous bitch, and want to know the whole story, then call me. If not, then fuck you.” Audrey said before leaving. She caught a glimpse of a raised eyebrow from one of the dancers, and she stepped forward to approach Audrey, but Teagan told her it wasn’t any of her business.
But then again it wasn’t any of Teagan’s business either.
