Hi everyone~ I have been away for quite a while cuz I was (& still am) flooded with assignments T__T But I managed to get a breather today so I translated something :p But before we get to the translation...
My friends just told me today that they saw my translations being reposted without credits. This has happened quite a number of times already :( But I have not said anything about it until now cuz I don't like ranting about such things anyway. But it's starting to get on my nerves now :/ I'll keep this short.
I may not have explicitly said this before so let me make it clear now.
Do not repost full translations/scans/subs.
If you want to use them for graphics/fics, flail over them etc,
Resize the scans/quote part of the translations & please credit.
I don't want to lock my LJ cuz I have non LJ-friends who read my posts & it's not fair to the rest of you either... And it's not as if locking will solve the problem anyway~ I take time/money/effort to scan/translate stuff & all I ask from you guys is: don't steal, don't take credit for something which you did not do.

Aiba-kun gave them the theme "Something New Year-like. Japanese style!" Matsumoto-kun & Ohno-kun entered the photoshoot venue wearing modern-looking kimono. The staff said "Please start writing your motto" & while doing that, we asked them what they think about Japanese culture too! (A member from the previous issue decides what the next Arashi pair talks about)
Calligraphy, Japanese food, Kimono, Kyoto......
They like Japanese culture very much!
Jun: My motto eh... Why should I write~
Ohno: Aiba-chan said his motto is "To be as alert and vigilant as a tiger". What is he targeting at anyway? [laughs]
Jun: I think there's no deep meaning to that~ He just likes the sound of the word, I'm sure [grins]
(The Japanese word that Aiba-chan chose is pronounced as 'ko-shi-tan-tan')
Ohno: Ah, that has got to be it [laughs]. For me...... [Pause to think for a moment. Writes the phrase slowly & carefully]
Ohno's motto: "If you put your mind to doing something, you can do it!"
Jun: That's really like you/suits you. Well then, for me...... [After testing it out for a couple of times, he wrote it smoothly]
Jun's motto: "Persevering through difficulties makes one stronger"
Jun: Seems like we're quite contrasting [laughs]. I have kept these words in my heart for quite some time but recently, I've began to experience it. Now that Arashi is into it's 10th year anniversary, looking back at the time when we just debut, I feel "I have indeed learnt many things & become stronger".
Ohno: Now that you mention it, it does seem that way. ----- The theme for this time is Japanese culture. What comes to MatsuJun's mind you think of Japanese culture?
Jun: First, it would something that we're more familiar with - Japanese food. [Imitating a foreigner's accent] Sushi, tempura & etc are all very delicious!
Hahaha. Jun kawaii~! XDD *gets Do-S stare from him*
Ohno: What kind of foreigner are you? [laughs] That's true. Japan does have a lot of tasty food. And also, Japanese food looks very fine/delicate. Its emphasis on details is one of its charm too.
Jun: And Japan's sense of individualism/independence too. Like bushido (the way of the warrior) and all. When we watch them in those historical plays, it's really cool. As for Riida, you are really good in calligraphy, so you have an interest in Japanese culture right?
Ohno: I learnt calligraphy for about 2 years, it was really fun. Japanese drum is also a very sophisticated form of performing arts. I remember it was very difficult to learn.
Jun: Amongst the Japanese culture/performing arts, I like Kabuki dance. Though it gives people the impression that it's difficult to understand/approach, I think it's as interesting as modern plays & movies! ......And in Kabuki dance, you can look at ladies wearing Kimono [laughs]. When girls wear a proper Kimono, you can't help but take a look at them.
Ohno: Talking about that, I have seen a Kabuki actor's room before & I was really impressed.
Jun: When you were staying in Kyoto?
Ohno: Yeah. Now that I think about it, there are a lot of things about Kyoto that I should have learnt...... But at that time, I was leading a idle life [bitter laugh]. Now that I'm an adult, I want to go back there again 'to take revenge', visit all the different temples/shrines & eat all the different kinds of Kyoto cuisine!
Jun: It's awesome if you can go on a tour & experience all 4 seasons ne. ----- And 2008 is ending soon, it seemed so fast. This was a very fulfiling year & we have sowed the seeds for 2009 through many our jobs, so I'm looking forward to the fruits of 2009.
Ohno: Me too. Exhibition, drama...... It's a year where I took up many new challenges.
Jun: [Looking at Ohno] I'm sorry to interrupt you when you're on to saying something good...... Riida, you have ink on your forehead.
*LOL* So cute >_< He gets paint all over him when he does his artwork? XDD Fufu~
Ohno: Ah, really? Well, let's look forward to 2009 like this [laughs].
