Caffeine! In body!

Hello, hello, hello to all of my fellow human beings!  How are you on this fine Monday morning?  I am...not fine, per se, but certainly energized and all of that jazz.  There is a pathology test today!  How wonderful!  Actually, it is sort of wonderful, because it means that in under four hours, I can forget about the-anemias-the-random-white-blood-disorders-the-leukemias-both-acute-and-chronic-the-lymphomas-and-the-multiple-myelomas.  Until I have to learn them all again for boards.

I still have some studying to do--I made wonderful typed sheets of notes about the leukemias and lymphomas, but I need to finish memorizing them.  I am not sure if it's really going to help, as past students have sort of indicated that NOTHING they did to study for this test helped in ANY WAY whatsoever and that the whole test was more an exercise in how to function gracefully in absolute defeat.  But I almost feel prepared...

Then, after the leukemia/lymphoma reviewing and before the test, which is randomly at 1 PM, I will spend some quality time with my pharm notecards.  I'll leave the lymphoma world of t(9;22), inv(16), t(4;11) and all of the rest of it alone, and enter the world of alpha1, alpha2, and MAP kinase kinase kinase.  What a fabulous life I have!  (Yes, I know I chose it.)

A good thing happened--my insurance may start paying for some of my therapy again.  I won't believe it until I see it.  But we shall keep our fingers crossed.

Another good thing: That Boy whom I saw on Friday/Saturday sent me a text yesterday wishing me luck on the exam.  It was nice of him to do this.  In said text, he indicated a wish for me to call him today to let him know how the test went.  That makes me feel happy...I am not very good at figuring out whether people really like me or are just being polite.  So the text helps to tilt the balance.

All right.  Time for leukemias.  Oh--a note: if ever you choose to get a lymphoma, please get Hodgkin's, because the other types pretty much suck to have.
